The locomotive at the bottom left is a picture I am very proud of. The engine is a little later in date than the time frame involved but its what I have pictures of. The engine is a based on the narrow gage steam engines of the Cumbres-Toltec Scenic railroad in New Mexico. I visited there last year and shot a ton of pictures. If you ever have a chance to get to New Mexico I highly recomend it and its sister line between Silverton and Durango, Colorado. By the time this posts on Monday (I write this on Thrusday) I should be in Durango getting ready to ride the latter on my vacation.

Those of you who have posted to the forum I thank you and welcome more folks to join in if they wish. As I mentioned I shall be away for a week on vacation from 10/1 to 10/9. I hope to be able to duck in and make a couple responses at the latter portion of the week but I cant make any promises. Just a warning so folks dont think I hate them or something.

I have mentioned the forums, the last two page have been based loosely on the riots in Baltimore in the opening days of the US Civil war, and Napoleons defence of Parliment that placed his star in ascension and earned him his fateful appointment to Italy against Austria.

I am starting to like Hurricanes. I live far enough inland that if the tornados stay away the only trouble is flooding and the occasional tree fall. The rain however shuts down all my work sites so I get a day off. I did page 13 on Frances, 15 on Ivan and 16 on Jeanene.

I am taking the art stuff with me so I hope to spend a couple evenings out in the crisp mountain air finishing the current page and next weeks...Oh and while on layover at the airport too. =P I still havn't managed any two pages in one week to get my 12 page buffer back but I am meeting the 1 per week goal and for that I am holding ground an satisfied.
