I was at Midwest Fur Fest last week, hence the non-update. I had a blast there this year. We made some changes on the setup and running of the Artist Alley that worked perfectly. We had zero drama in the alley, no messes at close time, and the hotel was happy that we kept the campers out of the hallway, eliminationg a major potential headache with the fire marshal. The minor problems we had were issues of space which should be adressed next year with the larger hotel. For once. No complaints from the staff standpoint. I am actually looking forward to it again next year.

Sales were good for me this year. I broke even on hotel and airline costs and made a tidy profit that covered most of my food. I was slammed this year and completely didnt make it to the dealers den, but this helped on my con proits as I usually spend the extra cash there. Considering I had only 4 new prints, only 3 in color, I can not complain. Especially considering I dont have porn, which is the usual high mover at these cons. Another artist friend of mine and I are going to team up and nag each other to have at least 2 new completed color pieces a month. This will mean I am going to have to cart my prismacolors along with me to the hotel, but I think I can handle this with the new art bag I picked up.
